BETHEL — Senior pitcher Olivia York pitched a no-hitter as Telstar snapped up a 3-0 victory over Mountain Valley in softball action Monday afternoon.

The Rebels (12-2) jumped out to a three-run lead in the first inning. Junior right fielder Tasha Hart plated two runs on a single in the frame.

The Falcons (7-7) threatened twice, leaving the bases loaded in the first and having two on in the second. But Telstar survived both outings.

Senior pitcher Emily Laubauskas scattered three hits, while striking out two.

Winslow 10, Spruce Mountain 1

WINSLOW — Jenna Petrovic and Paige Veilleux launched home runs as Winslow took down Spruce Mountain 10-1 in softball action Monday afternoon.

The Black Raiders (12-1) scored in five of their six at bats. Liz Pullen contributed a double and a single, along with an RBI for Winslow.

Pitcher Alex Bessey produced a single and an RBI for the Phoenix (5-9), while taking the loss in the circle

Lisbon 16, St. Dom’s 4

LISBON — Mallory Fairbanks went 3-for-4 as Lisbon dashed to a 16-4 victory over St. Dom’s in softball action Monday afternoon.

The Greyhounds put five runs on the board in the first inning. Kipri Steele, Ali Sult Kate Philbrick and Morgan Fenderson each had two hits for Lisbon.

Courtney Desmarais and Sarah Clark had two hits apiece for the Saints.

Monmnouth 8, Dirigo 2

MONMOUTH — Monmouth erupted for four runs in the fifth inning and raced away to a 8-2 late-season softball win over Dirigo on Monday. 

Hannah Anderson led the Mustangs with three hits and two RBIs, while Tia Day and Abby Ferland each belted out two hits. Emily Kaplan and Mikayla Cameron also drove in runs for Monmouth. 

Emma Lueders led the Cougars with two hits and two RBIs. Emily Chasse allowed eight hits while earning the win, while Katelyn Olsen suffered the loss. 

Bangor 9, Edward Little 4

BANGOR — Sarah Bragg gave up seven hits in seven innings of work and received adequate run support Monday as Bangor hustled to a 9-4 victory over Edward Little in softball action.

Megan Conner led the Rams (10-4) with four hits, while Emily Gilmore, Emma Payne and Lindy Bezgonbluk each pounded out two hits. 

Taylor Depot led the Red Eddies (10-4) with three hits and two RBIs, while Jordyn Reynolds belted two hits and drove in one run.  

Oak Hill 13, Hall-Dale 1

WALES — Catcher Emma Hlister ripped two triples and drove in two runs, and teammate Brooke Surette doubled twice in Oak Hill’s 13-1 victory over Hall-Dale in a softball game Monday.

The Raiders (13-1) erupted with five runs in the fourth inning and used 13 hits to overwhelm Hall-Dale (9-5).

Maykala Nadeau got the win in the circle, giving up only three hits. Hannah Nadeau had two hits.

Baseball

Oxford Hills 9, Lewiston 4

LEWISTON — Bailey West scattered three hits and drew ample run support as Oxford Hills hustled to a 9-4  over Lewiston in a Class A South baseball tilt on Monday.

Tyler Curtis led the Vikings with three hits and two RBIs, while Hunter LaBossiere and Jake Beauchesne each belted out two hits.

Gordon Beckwith worked the three frames for Lewiston (4-10) and suffered the loss.

Skowhegan 7, Mt. Blue 2

FARMINGTON — Kyle Dugas homered and doubled and teammate Kam Doucette added another double as Skowhegan overpowered Mt. Blue (2-12) with a 7-2 victory in a baseball game Monday.

Skowhegan used nine hits and didn’t make an error to subdue Mt. Blue, which had five hits and made two errors.

Monmouth 8, Dirigo 5

DIXFIELD — Junior second baseman Matt Foulke laid down three sacrifice bunts that led to three runs as Monmouth kicked their way to an 8-5 triumph over Dirigo in baseball action Monday afternoon.

Avery Pomerleau and Travis Hartford furnished three hits each for the Mustangs (14-0) to maintain an undefeated record.

Senior first baseman Riley Robinson garnered two singles and plated three runs for the Cougars (8-6).

Mountain Valley 5, Telstar 0

BETHEL — Mountain Valley made productive use of its eight hits with a 5-0 victory over Telstar in baseball action Monday afternoon.

The Falcons strung together single runs in five different innings for the shutout. Tim Fitzgerald struck out 12, walking only two and scattering seven hits to notch the win for Mountain Valley.

Tanner Wheeler took the mound loss for Telstar.
