1930 – 2016

NORWAY — Theresa M. (Qualey) Heino, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 21.

She was born July 8, 1930, the daughter of Persis and Martin Qualey in Casco, where she later attended school. She married Albert Heino in June 1950 and they started their family in Waterford.

They enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening; their freezer was always full. They shared a lifetime: She cared for Albert until his death in 2007. Theresa was a hard worker. She had been employed at local shoe shops, picking apples and later at Bridgton Knitting Mill, often working double shifts when needed, until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends Gladys, Celia and Marie. Theresa was an accomplished crafts person, knitting and crocheting beautiful articles of clothing and crafts. We have truly lost one of the greatest generation.

She is survived by her children, Charles M. and wife, Linda, Catherine M., and Albert R. and wife, Cynde; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Gilkey and Mabel Heino; and a brother, Reg Qualey.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her sister, Martha Willey; and her brother, Joe Qualey.

Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
