Georgette and Roger Doyon

LEWISTON — Roger and Georgette Doyon of Lewiston, formerly of Flanders Street in Auburn, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, with family and friends.

Mr. Doyon and the former Georgette Savard were married June 4, 1949, at St. Peter’s Basilica.

The anniversary party was given by their children and spouses, Dick and Sue, Dan and Maureen, Mike and Tania and Marc and Stacey. They have 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Doyon retired from John J. Nissen after 32 years and also from Dube’s Flower Shop. Mrs. Doyon worked in the shoe industry.
