Wales to lead worship service

PARIS — Renee Wales will lead the worship service on Sunday, June 5, at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street. The 10 a.m. sermon will discuss seeking and seeing the divine in the ordinary.

Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd. Fellowship and coffee will follow the worship service. Child care is available, and the church is wheelchair-accessible. The church welcomes and celebrates all beliefs.

AUBURN — The East Auburn Baptist Church will host the Voice of the Martyrs Advance Conference from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at 560 Park Ave.

At the conference, speakers from around the world will share personal accounts about persecution and ways they are advancing God’s kingdom on the front lines of ministry.

The event is free, and doors will open at 8 a.m.

MADRID — The annual meeting of the parishioners of Reeds Mill Church is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12.

Members of the church and all other interested parties are invited to attend with the intention of hearing reports, acting on any business and sharing thoughts on the activities of the church.

Due to a generous donation of firewood last year, attendees should not bring logs for the wood stove this year.

RUMFORD — The Rumford Baptist Church will have its Vacation Bible School from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 27, through Thursday, June 30.

There will be games, crafts, Bible stories and songs.

Prophecy Seminar at The Ark 

LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe will host Prophecy Seminar —Understand Revelation! at 6:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays through June 21 at 791 Lisbon St.

The series will explore God’s purpose to finally do away with all sin and suffering.
