Lewiston-Auburn Green Drinks meeting June 15

AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Green Drinks will hold its June meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Gritty’s Brew Pub, 68 Main St.

Featured will be the Sierra Club of Maine.

Attendees will learn about the work of the Sierra Club and about setting up a local Climate Action Team in the Twin Cities.

Cost is $5 for those bringing their own class, $10 for those needing a glass.

Photography workshop in Falmouth

FALMOUTH — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension will host a nature photography workshop titled “Capture Nature: Photographing Flowers and Plants” on Tuesday, July 26, at the UMaine Gardens at Tidewater Farm, Farm Gate Road.

Attendees should bring a camera with wide angle and telephoto lens if possible, as well as a tripod.

Professional photographer David Elliott will teach techniques for photographing flowers and plants. By the end of the workshop, participants will have many stunning images.
