NORWAY — The Alan Day Community Garden will hold its fourth annual summer fundraiser Light the Garden from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at 26 Whitman St.

The event marks the end of a monthlong online silent auction, available at www.alandaygarden.wordpress.com. The online auction ends at noon on June 25.

Supporters have donated gift certificates, jewelry, art, a rock garden, yoga classes, fly-fishing lessons and a beer cruise.

The event includes food, drink, music and garden tours. It will be held under the newly constructed pavilion. Tickets will be sold in advance at Books N’ Things or at the event on a sliding scale of $10 to $50.

Due to an increased interest from the community in renting plots, the garden is doubling the number of plots available. This year, funds raised by the event will support the expansion of the growing beds, the Youth Leadership Program, a new Community Garden Library and Resource Center, and the connection to town water to support cooking classes and meal preparation.
