SCARBOROUGH — Marjorie Law Perry, 90, formerly of Westbrook, died in Scarborough at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on Monday, June 13.
She was born in Rumford to Alexander and Mildred (Gravel) Law, and graduated from Stephens High School in 1943. After graduation, she attended the Gates Business College in Augusta and received an associate degree in business. During World War II, she contributed to the war effort, working at the Oxford Paper Mill, where she did a “man’s job.” She also worked in the Office of Price Administration.
In 1949, she married another Rumford native, Owen Perry. Together they had eight children to whom she dedicated her life. She cherished her lifelong friendships and enjoyed gathering with family and friends.
She is survived by five sons, Steve, Matthew (wife, Sara), Robert, Andrew and Chris (wife, Athena); three grandchildren, Sean (wife, Susan), Alexandra (husband, Enrique) and Elijah; and seven great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband; and her three children, Alex, Janet and Martin.
