LEWISTON — Taking control is the subject of a diabetes education program set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, in Conference Room H at 12 High St. at Central Maine Medical Center.

The presentation is part of an A1C Champions series presented regularly at the hospital.

Speakers who have learned to successfully manage their own diabetes will share information, advice and motivation with others, said Jamie Pepin, clinical dietitian and diabetes educator who is organizing the series.

Those interested in learning better strategies to manage their diabetes are encouraged to attend this free event.
