SCARBOROUGH — Doris G. Jensen, 90, formerly of Rumford, died Monday, June 20, at her home in Scarborough.

She was born in Rumford on Nov. 30, 1925, the daughter of Anthony “Tony” and Catherine (Gaudet) Gallant, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1945.

For many years, Doris worked for the Telephone Company, and then as a receptionist at several doctors’ offices as the family moved around the country.

She was married in Rumford on Oct. 21, 1951, to Norman “Pete” Jensen who died in Scarborough on April 9, 1998.

Survivors include sons, Peter Jensen and wife, Jennifer, of Derry, N.H., Erik Jensen and wife, Nancy, of Scarborough; daughters, Susan Jensen of Barnet, Vt., Cathy Schabowski and husband, Scott, of Springfield, Mass., Terri Morgan and husband, Todd, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Doris was the oldest of six siblings. She is survived by brothers, Ivon Gallant and wife, Irene, of Rumford, Louis Gallant and wife, Saundra, of Wilton; sisters, Esther McPhee and husband, Ernest, of Rumford, Ann Cronin and husband, Bill, of East Kingston, N.H.. Doris is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristen Jensen of Denver, Colo., Dana and Kara Jensen of Scarborough, Miranda and Andrew Schabowski of Springfield, Mass., Casie and Cristin Morgan of Runaway Bay, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; and a brother, Leo Gallant and his wife, Merlene.
