BATH — Bath Shakespeare Festival is returning to Library Park with “The Comedy of Errors.”

The production features professional actors and designers from Maine and across the country. Performances are on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday at 6 p.m. from July 14 to 24.

“The Comedy of Errors” is laugh-out-loud funny. Two sets of identical twins – each unaware of their doubles – end up in the same city. What could possibly go wrong?

“This is Shakespeare’s funniest comedy,” said Director Stephen Legawiec. “It is unique in that there is a lot of slapstick, physical comedy and bad puns. It is fast and funny and really takes the audience for a hilarious ride.”

The cast includes: Gordon Adams (Egeon), Fern Beede (Servant), Ross Carmichael (Antipholus of Syracuse), George Colligan (Antipholus of Ephesus), Angie Fennell (Adriana), Caleb Lacy (Angelo), Sawyer McLeod (Dromio of Ephesus), Shane Murphy (Dromio of Syracuse), Kathleen Nation (Amelia), Caroline McDonald O’Connor (Courtesan), Maryn Shaw (Luciana), Bart Shattuck (The Duke) and Erica Renee Werner (Second Merchant).

The set is by Victor Becker, Dana Wieluns is movement director, Angela Bonacasa is fight choreographer and Sara Witt is stage manager.
