AUGUSTA – Lynyrd Skynyrd will play at the Augusta Civic Center Wednesday, Sept. 22, as part of its “Vicious Cycle” tour. The band will perform songs from its catalog of hits.

Lynyrd Skynyrd celebrated its 30th anniversary last year by releasing the “Vicious Cycle” album, which features “Red White and Blue,” the band’s biggest radio hit in 25 years. The group also issued “Thyrty: The 30th Anniversary Collection, which was certified gold after two weeks.

On Oct. 5, Sanctuary Records will release “Under the Influence – A Jam Band Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd.” The special 11-song disc features some of the top names in guitar-driven rock re-interpreting their favorite classic Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes.

The Augusta show will begin at 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $35, $45 and $50.They are available at the civic center’s box office, by calling Ticketmaster (207) 775-3331 or at www.ticketmaster.com.
