1937 – 2016
AUBURN — Carlton Wardwell, 79, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, June 23, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 1, 1937, to Kenneth and Evelyn (Hascall) Wardwell.
Carlton enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as playing cards and checkers. For 10 years, he worked at the Nezinscot Guild in Turner.
Surviving him are a sister, Charlotte and her husband, Bill Mullen; a brother, Reggie Sweatt and his wife, Joyce; a niece, Joyce and her husband, Bob Frechette; and two nephews, Kenneth and his wife, Bethany Mullen, and Bruce and his wife, Cheryl Mullen.
Carlton was predeceased by his parents.
Carlton’s family would like to thank the Hospice House and Clover Manor for the wonderful care they provided. They would also like to thank Opportunity Enterprises for providing Carlton with fun things to do.
