LIVERMORE — Mark Chretien was elected chairman of the Board of Selectpersons on Monday night and Tom Gould was elected vice chairman.

Newly elected Selectperson Wayne Timberlake said he will have a conflict with every other meeting date because of his work schedule.

Selectperson Timothy Kachnovich said his work schedule is the opposite of Timberlake’s, so moving the meetings a week ahead or back wouldn’t work for him.

Selectperson Megan Dion said Mondays were originally chosen as the meeting date so the warrants for payroll could be signed.

The board unanimously voted to change the meetings to Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be held July 11.

In other business, resident Raymond Castonguay asked what the process would be to change the town meeting from a weekday to a Saturday.

Timberlake said it used to be on a Saturday. About the same number of people attend, although different people attended the Saturday meetings than the Wednesday night ones, he said.

Castonguay said in Canton there were three times the number of people on a Saturday.

“Speaking from personal experience, I can’t make it during the week,” Castonguay said.

Administrative Assistant Amy Byron said she would determine what the process is.
