MEXICO — Funeral services for Alice Ashworth of Sanbornton, N.H., and formerly of Mexico and Worthley Pond, were conducted Saturday, July 2, at 2 p.m., at the Mexico Congregational Church on Main Street, Mexico, with the Rev. Izzie Radford-Nash and the Rev. John Gensel officiating.

Pianist was Gail Dorr. Music selections included “In the Garden,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace.” Special music, “Beyond the Sunset,” was sung by her granddaughter, Kelsey Arsenault, who also played the ukulele and sang “The Gift of Love” accompanied by pianist Gail Dorr.

Readings were proclaimed by granddaughter Kirsten Gross,from Proverbs 31:10-31 and by grandson Jacob Arsenault from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 14. The eulogy was given by her son-in-law, Roland Arsenault and her daughter, Bonnie Ashworth. Words of remembrance were given by many family members and friends.

Committal services were conducted by the Rev. John Gensel. Interment was at the Farrington-Morton Cemetery, Mexico. Pallbearers were Roland Arsenault, Jacob Arsenault, Samuel Lucas, Jeffrey Braley, Roland Sylvia and Bonnie Ashworth. A reception followed at the dining room of the Mexico Congregational Church.
