WALES — Lakeside Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will host its annual ESTARL Potluck Supper on Tuesday, Aug. 9, in the Grange and Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road.
The group will be assisted by Pioneer No. 11 of Lisbon Falls and Pine Cone No. 26 of Auburn.
ESTARL, the Eastern Star Training Awards for Religious Leadership, is a charity unique to the Order of the Eastern Star. The awards were first given in 1955 to train religious leaders dedicating their lives to Christian service. Maine has placed fourth in the world in giving at the General Grand Chapter.
After supper, the Chapter will meet and honor Past Matrons and Past Patrons for their years of service. These are the women and men who have held the Chapter together for the latter part of its 117-year existence. Many are 50-year members.
Supper begins at 6 p.m., meeting at 7. Attire is gowns for women, and tuxedos or dark suits for men.
