Worthley Pond Christmas in July
PERU — Christmas in July at Worthley Pond will be Friday to Sunday, July 22 to 24.
Boaters may participate in the Saturday boat parade leaving at 9 p.m. at Snowshoe Club Beach. They should register and pick up a number for the boat competition at the Bus at Worthly Pond before 5 p.m.
Rumford Eagles Summer Bash
RUMFORD — Rumford Eagles FOE 1248 will hold the annual Summer Bash on Saturday, July 30, for members and signed-in guests.
Registration is required by Tuesday, July 26, in the Eagles Social Room.
There will be activities throughout the day. The bean bag toss tournament will resume that has a revolving trophy, which is currently held by Bill and Shirley Twidwell.
The menu of the barbecue will include prime rib or lobster with tickets costing $10 for members and $20 for guests. The meal will be served between 4 and 5 p.m.
Fat n Jack’d will provide entertainment from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Eagles Social Room. No purchase is necessary for members to attend the entertainment in the evening; guests will cost $5.
Olde Home Days photo contest
ANDOVER — The Andover Olde Home Days photo contest will be exhibited from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Andover Town Hall.
There will be two groups: children 17 and younger and adult 18 and older.
The categories are black and white, portrait, landscape, flower, birds, animal and unique.
Photographs can be submitted at the Andover Town Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 3 and 4, and from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5.
Each photo must have a name, town and category on the back and ages should be provided for those 17 and younger.
Professional photographers should not submit their work.
Adults and children can submit up to 28 photos, four per category.

AYS softball tournament Aug. 13
LIVERMORE FALLS — Area Youth Sports for Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls and Fayette will host the One-Pitch Co-Ed softball tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Livermore Falls recreation field.
The team price is $150 with a minimum of four mails and four females and total of eight to 12 people. Proceeds will help AYS purchase new equipment for youth.
The rain date is Saturday, Aug. 20.
