LIVERMORE FALLS — The Treat Memorial Library has announced upcoming programming that will complete the summer.

The library’s Ready, Set, Read! Summer Reading Program will come to a close during a finale program at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5. Top readers will be announced and rewards will be given to all who have successfully completed their goals.

Conjuring Carroll, magician and entertainer, will perform Nutrition by Magician during the finale. Carroll Chapman, known as Conjuring Carroll, has been performing family entertainment for 20 years. He is a lifetime member of the International Magician Society with a Doctor in Magic degree from the Society. He is current vice president of the Society of American Magicians for Maine and is self-titled as Maine’s Silliest Magician.

Robots will invade the library at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18. Chris Dorman will show off the Maine State Library’s robots and give a 3D printing demonstration, printing objects out of plastic. 

The Book Club will continue its series on Irish fiction with “Brooklyn” by Colm Toibin. The discussion for this award-winning novel will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. This series will continue through November, so participants should contact the library to reserve a copy of the latest selection.

Lego Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Children can construct something they like or try to build something from the day’s building challenge. Lego creations will be displayed in the library until the next meeting. 

Continuing programs include Preschool Story Time at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Recent Story Time projects include alphabet trees and fairy tale crowns.

Teen Writers meet at 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 2, 16 and 30, for creative writing prompts, feedback and discussion.
