NEW LIMERICK (AP) – Louisiana-Pacific has laid off 43 employees at its mill in New Limerick.

The Bangor Daily News on Thursday quoted company spokesman Mary Cohn as saying the layoffs were the result of poor market conditions and would be temporary for most of those affected.

The New Limerick plant employs 73 workers and was the site of a $140 million expansion two years ago.
