SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner, UCC, has announced its upcoming schedule of events. The church is located at 50 Main St., Rte. 219, in East Sumner village.
The Rev. Howard MacMullen will be on vacation Sunday, Aug. 28. The guest speaker that morning will be Rodney Abbott. Worship begins at 9 a.m. with coffee hour following at 10:15 a.m.
August and September public activities are as follows:
Campfire and sing-along: 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, as the beans are put in the beanhole.
Beanhole bean supper: 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Cost: $8 each person or $22 for a family.
Buckfield Community Day: 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5. The church will participate in the parade and host a pie table at the Community Day celebration.
Camp and Carve Weekend with the Streaked Mountain Woodcarvers: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 to 11.
