CUMBERLAND (AP) — The number of market-rate apartments in a Maine town will more than quadruple because of the approval of a 96-unit apartment complex.
Cumberland’s Planning Board gave final approval to Cumberland Foreside Village Apartments on Tuesday.
The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/2b3IebK ) reported the project will consist of eight apartment buildings with 12 units each on property located at the southern edge of town between Route 1 and Interstate 295.
Most of the apartments will be market rate, but some will be set aside for people age 55 and older.
Units could be ready by March 2017.
