1959 – 2016

AUBURN — Joanna Poland died Wednesday, Aug. 17, at home in Auburn.

She was born Sept. 9, 1959, to George and Jane Flansburg of Massachusetts. She moved to Maine in 1981. Jo was a housekeeper at local motels. Known to many as “Cat Lady,” she loved cats. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her companion, Ron Garey.
