1931 – 2016

LEWISTON — Gloria A. Levesque, 85, of 14 West Shore Dr., Greene, died Monday, Sept. 19, at the Marshwood Nursing Home in Lewiston.

Born in Auburn on May 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Exilia (Fortier) Goulette. Educated in local schools, she married Henry Levesque on Feb. 14, 1952.

She was a dedicated wife and mother, and also worked for numerous years as a fancy stitcher in the local shoe industry. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed complex puzzles.

A member of the former St. Joseph’s Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she is survived by her loving husband, Henry of Greene; three sons, Steven and wife, Lisa, of Farmingdale, Glenn of Sabattus, and Jeff of Greene; a brother, Marcel Goulette and wife, Joni, of Turner; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
