‘Marvels and Mysteries’ Oct. 7

KINGFIELD — Western Maine Storytelling will present “Marvels and Mysteries: Stories from the Mountains of Maine” at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct.  7, at Webster Library.

The program will feature Maine storytellers Phyllis Blackstone, Judy Loeven and Peggy Yocom. 

The event is free and open to the public.

FARMINGTON — TechnOldie Support, a brain child of the University of Maine at Farmington students to aid older adults with navigating the modern electronic world, will hold its last community session.

The topic will be Microsoft Windows 10. It will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the UMF Mantor Library.

Rummage sale Oct. 8

PARIS — There will be a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 8, at First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St.

A bag sale will take place from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

Cost is $1 per large plastic bag.

Items include clothes, books, shoes and white elephant items.

Bee club meeting Oct. 8

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road, South Paris.

JAY — The North Jay Grange No. 10 will have a food and rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

Oxford Hills AARP to meet

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will meet at noon on Monday, Oct. 10, at the First Congregational Church on East Main Street

The macaroni and cheese lunch will cost $7, and reservations are required by Friday, Oct. 7. 

The business meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m. Those attending should bring a contribution to the local food pantry, and the book and puzzle swap will continue.

The program will be presented by a representative from the Oxford County Communications Department and is titled “The Wandering Program.”
