LEWISTON – New England Brace Company, 217 Main St., Lewiston, announces that Gary Yackley CP, CFO, has recently been certified in the Bioness electrical stimulation orthosis.

The two-day school was held at the New England Brace facility in Hooksett, N.H., and was staffed by Bioness clinicians from the northeast and California. Seven patients with diagnosis of foot drop, spinal cord injury and MS were fitted with the E-stim orthosis. The device uses electrical stimulation of muscles to achieve a normal gait and to ambulate safely.

Yackley graduated from Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio, majoring in psychology, and the University of Minnesota School of Orthopedic Surgery School of Orthotics and Prosthetics. He has practiced in Ohio and Oklahoma and has served as clinical director and manager of the Lewiston NEBCO facility since 1991.
