1929 – 2016

AUBURN — Jeannette Laurette Boutin, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 25, at Clover Manor in Auburn.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Arthur and Delia (Gagne) Pintal.

Jeannette was a devout Catholic who attended St. Philip’s Church in Auburn. She attended Mass regularly, and over the years Jeannette served on numerous committees. Jeannette’s passion in life was singing in the choir. As a longtime member of the choir, she was a familiar face to fellow parishioners. Jeannette could be counted on for providing Mass with beautiful spiritual hymns on a weekly basis.

She was with the Pastime Club for many years. She would often enjoy bowling in her local league. Jeannette liked to take an occasional trip to play her slots. She was known to be very easygoing, and just liked to stay busy, whether it be doing something outside or traveling.

On Nov. 10, 1951, Jeannette married the love of her life, Willie Boutin, and they shared a loving marriage of over 40 years.

Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, Diane Maillet and Janet Tweedie; her two sons, Paul Boutin and Richard “Dicky” Boutin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..

She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; her two brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.
