AUBURN — Carolyn Proctor, 62, of Wilton, passed away of cancer Sunday, Nov. 27, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

She was born Dec. 6, 1953, in Dumont, N.J., and graduated from Teaneck High School in 1971. Carolyn married William Proctor in 1978 and had lived in Wilton since 1979.

Carolyn worked for many years in various offices of the Mt. Blue Regional School District. She also assisted with the family-run Spruce Mountain Tree Service. She loved being a wife and mother, and keeping the Proctor household running smoothly.

Carolyn was a fantastic cook and will be remembered for her many delicious recipes. She loved animals and nature, and especially held dear her pet dogs and bird feeders filled with happy birds. She enjoyed harvesting the tomatoes and pumpkins that overflowed her gardens, and she kept her home surrounded with cheerful flowers, including rows of sunflowers.

Carolyn valued books and reading. She enjoyed riding around the countryside of Maine with her husband and they created many memories together in their favorite spots including Popham Beach, Mt. Blue State Park and Richardson Lake.
