1936 – 2016

LEWISTON — Beatrice Leona Bennett, 80, of Auburn passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Lewiston, the daughter of Bernard and Shirley (Woodbury) Hardy. She worked in shoe shops in the Lewiston area most of her life.

Beatrice had two sisters, Pat B. of Auburn and Ann Hardy, who was also her best friend. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up.

She is survived by her children, Tommy Bennett of Germany, Bonny Bennett of Lewiston, Jimmy Bennett and his wife, Claire, of Auburn; grandchildren, Tanya Bennett of Louisiana, Jason Bennett of Texas, Alexandra Connell of Texas, Eric Bennett and his wife, Amanda, of Lewiston, Janay Bennett of Lewiston, Zachary Bennett of Auburn, Cameron Bennett of New York; many great-grandchildren, Skyler Tremblay, Danica Robinson, Jeremiah Bennett, Corbin Bennett, McKenzie Robinson, and soon-to-be Kaydance Robinson.

Beatrice was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and Bernard; and stepfather, Fern (Grumpy) Jalbert.
