ANSWER: Sun Spots could not track down any holiday-shaped pretzels currently on the shelf but got the scoop that they are expected in our local grocery stores starting next week, maybe even as early as Monday, Dec. 5. If any readers have spotted these pretzels already on the shelf somewhere in Lewiston or Auburn, please write in to Sun Spots.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the person looking to repair an antique train, they should contact the Great Falls Model Railroad Club. They are located at 144 Mill St. in Auburn and can be reached by calling 207-576-3788. — No name, no town.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for someone in the Rumford or Mexico area that would come to my house and be willing to cut a small square in a steel beam behind a wall. An animal is trapped in there and I do not know of any other way to get it out. My house is very old and the foundation is not the best but I think someone could cut through the wall. Thanks. — Cynthia, Dixfield.

ANSWER: Please keep your safety a priority and do not attempt to remove a wild animal on your own. The animal control officer in your town is Anne Simmons-Edmunds, and she can be reached by calling 207-369-0717.

But assuming that you have exhausted your town’s municipal animal control services, your next best step is to contact a professional animal removal service. They are licensed experts and should be able to find the point of entry and set traps to lure the animal out or at least access the animal safely.
