CARRABASSETT VALLEY — A Freeport man lost control of the car he was driving early Sunday on West Mountain Road, and it went through a snowbank and snapped a utility pole, Police Chief Mark Lopez said.
Angus Eno, 24, and his passenger, Jake Gore, 24, of the Freeport area were found about an hour later at a family member’s condominium on West Mountain Road, Lopez said.
Officer Doug Geis responded to the accident, which was reported at 2:05 a.m. The 2014 Audi was on its roof, Lopez said, and non-electrical wires were across the road for several hours.
NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel treated and released both men at the residence where they were found, Lopez said.
Both men were wearing seat belts.
The vehicle was demolished, Lopez said.
Carrabassett Valley Fire Department and Central Maine Power assisted at the scene.
