1929 – 2016

NORWAY — Barbara Stearns Inman, 87, of Albany, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 17, at Stephens Memorial Hospital with family by her side.

She was born Aug. 11, 1929, to Edith (Cummings) and Hugh Stearns. Barbara graduated from Gould Academy with the Class of 1947. She married Howard Inman on May 22, 1948. He passed away March 1, 2011.

Together they ran their own business, Inman’s Garage, in South Waterford, for 25 years.

Her immediate family members include her children, Andy and Renee of Nashua, N.H., Mike and June of Albany, Terry and Frank of Albany, and Nita and Ed of Norway; grandchildren, Michelle and Aaron, Jason and Tammy, Brian and Erica, Dareth, and Chris; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Zack, Brady and Luke; sister, Janice Morrill; and her best friend, Roberta Pevear of Exeter, N.H.

Besides her husband, Barbara is predeceased by a granddaughter, Kylie.

 The family would like to thank the Norway Center for Health and Rehab for the excellent care she received there as a resident. They also thank Dr. Kerr, ER doctor, and Dr. Osbourne, a surgeon at Stephens Memorial Hospital for spending the time explaining and following up with us as a family.
