1933 – 2016

HALLOWELL — Jeniese “Jenny” Senior, 83, of Balsam Drive, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at her home.

She was born in Jamaica, West Indies, on Oct. 22, 1933, the daughter of Kenneth and Myrtle (Evans) Evans. Jenny had worked in Manhattan, N.Y., for 25 years at Senior Centers before her retirement.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed going to Broadway plays, dancing and going out to dinner with her friends. After the death of her husband, Howard Senior, in 2013, Jenny moved to Maine to be closer to family.

She enjoyed the social life, shopping for clothes, jewelry and shoes, but she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. All of her grandchildren and their friends knew her as “Grandma Hot Shot.”

In her final days at Granite Hill Estates, she would talk about all the friends and acquaintances that she had made there. She truly enjoyed their company.

Jenny is survived by a son, Robert Senior and his wife, Lynn, of Whitefield; two daughters, Cheryl Barker and her husband, Durland, of Stoneham, and Michele Senior of Canaan; four grandchildren, Kyle and Stephen Barker, and Christopher and Thomas Senior; also four great-grandchildren, Abagail and Sophie Barker, Dominic Trayhan and Karlee Senior.

Condolences, memories and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the website at www.khrfuneralhomes.com.
