She leaves to mourn her passing her son, William (Bill) Bryant, wife, Cindy, and three loving grandchildren, Daniel Bryant, Erin Bryant Lamb, husband, Christopher, and Hilary Bryant; stepdaughter, Carol Teague, husband, Russ, and step-granddaughter, Bindy Cooke. She is also survived by her three sisters, Carolyn (Cam) Frantz, Jean Hoefer, Joyce Helen, husband, Doug; as well as nieces, nephews, and many grandnieces and nephews.

She also volunteered for Mechanic Falls Water District, the Maple Grove Cemetery committee, the VFW and the women’s auxiliary, to name a few.

Lu had two happy marriages and enjoyed time with both Dick and Red’s families. They enjoyed traveling, visiting her grandchildren in Connecticut, attending concerts and plays, dancing, gardening, playing cards and reading.

She valued her time at the camp she and Dick built in 1950, enjoying hosting family and friends, as well as being active outdoors, snowshoeing well into her mid to late 80s.

Lu had a special bond with her granddaughter Erin Bryant Lamb who moved from Connecticut to Maine to take care of Lu at the beginning stages of her Alzheimer’s. They enjoyed spending time together over the years, creating many fond memories.

Lu was predeceased by husband, Richard Bryant; husband, Philmore (Red) Meserve; sister, Lyda Ernst; and brother, John Mitchell.

The family wishes to thank the staff for the wonderful care she received while at Clover Manor.
