PEACE, which stands for Positive Ethnic and Cultural Exchange, is a growing initiative working to build community among women at the YWCA and emphasize cross-cultural exchange. During the winter months, PEACE provides twice-monthly meet-ups for women around diverse activities, ranging from exercise, crafts, cooking and discussion groups.
During December and January, PEACE hosted an archery demo, a cooking and canning tutorial and a women’s clothing swap.
PEACE meets the first and third Thursday of every month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the YWCA Central Maine. All women are welcome to the events.
