POLAND — William “Bill” Bentley, 73, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, due to recently declining health.

He leaves behind his children, stepchildren, grandchildren , great-grandchildren and many, many friends.

Bill was known throughout the region as a master electrician, carpenter, house builder and businessman. Before his retirement at age 40, he was the owner of Viking Electric in Newington, Conn. In good health and with the love of his life by his side, Jean Letourneau, Bill and Jean enjoyed traveling the country in an RV and wintering in St. Petersburg. Fla. Until his heart attack, Bill was an outdoor enthusiast. Bill was an avid hunter, trapper, fisherman and snowmobiler, to name a few. He loved to share these and many of his vast skills to enlighten and encourage family and friends. He was a huge influence to many as a teacher and a mentor.

Bill will be laid to rest beside the love of his life, Jean (Labonte) Letourneau. A small graveside service will be planned for this spring.
