• Tools for career decision making

May 8, 9 a.m. to noon and May 22, 9 a.m. to noon.

This workshop will take participants through a series of written assessments to help decide where they fit. This workshop is required for Understanding Your Career Decision Making Results workshop. (Registration required-call 753-9005 or TTY: 877-796-9833)

• Understanding tour career decision making results

Scheduled as needed – call the Information Center.

Interest profiles, work values, TABE, CAPS. This workshop examines the major factors that affect career decision-making. (Registration required.)

• Résumé basics

May 10, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and May 24, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A person’s résumé is a reflection of their knowledge, skills and abilities. Explore the basics of résumés and what can make a résumé or application stand out. (Registration required-call 753-9005 or TTY: 877-796-9833)

• Ace that interview

May 10, 12:30 to 3 p.m. and May 24, 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Learn how to prepare for a successful job interview. Learn to promote qualifications that match what the employer needs. Be prepared for tough questions and answer them with confidence. Obtain tips on how to dress and what to take to the interview. (Registration required-call 753-9005 or TTY: 877-796-9833)

• CareerCenter orientation

Orientation is offered two times a week: inquire at the Information Center

This program provides an introduction and orientation to the Lewiston CareerCenter. (Registration required.)

• Job Club

Every Monday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The best way to find a job is through networking. An abundance of ready-made networking opportunities exists.The Job Club could be a solution because it enables people to expand contacts and also serves as a support group. (Registration not required.)

• Greater L/A Unemployed Professionals Group

Every Monday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Greater Lewiston/Auburn Unemployed Professionals Group is an opportunity for professionals in the area to network and learn about job opportunities. (Registration not required.)
