PORTLAND – The VIA Group has hired Christina Benton as a production designer, according to Greg Smith, chief creative officer of the advertising and marketing communications agency. Benton will work with such clients as TD Banknorth and Silverstein Properties.

Prior to joining VIA, Benton worked as a prepress coordinator/graphic designer at the Sun Press in Lewiston. She has also worked as a design editor at the Sun Journal in Lewiston and as a prepress coordinator at Spencer Press in Wells.

Benton earned a bachelor’s degree in printing management from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001. She is a resident of Lewiston.
