LEWISTON – Plans to build a full-service pharmacy at the corner of East Avenue and Sabattus Street were submitted to the Planning Board or Monday.
The plan, submitted by Gendron Realty LLC, seeks permission to build a 13,228-square-foot pharmacy on a lot now occupied by a closed Mobil station and two single-family homes.
“The Planning Board will probably review this in March,” said David Hediger, city planner.
The applicant hopes to break ground on the $1.2 million project in April. The plan, prepared by Sebago Technics, calls for demolishing the shuttered gas station and the two homes, at least one of which is unoccupied.
If approved, the pharmacy would be situated across the street from Rite-Aid, which is at 430 Sabattus St.
