PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives has scheduled workshops in planning for business startups.

They will be held at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, 256 Main St., Paris, under the auspices of the Oxford Hills Adult and Community Education Program, on four successive Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The following workshops will be offered: Preparing a Business Plan, Oct. 4; Marketing, Oct. 11; Cash Flow Projection, Oct. 18; and Financing a Small Business,” Oct. 25.

The workshops will be presented by members of SCORE. Workshop content has been structured to provide information and assistance in writing a business plan, basic market research, projecting cash flow and obtaining financing for a new business. Writing a good business plan and understanding marketing and the details of cash flow and finances are vital to the success of any new business.

The fee for the four-session workshop is $45 and includes participation by one business partner or spouse. Advance registration with the Oxford Hills SCORE Office, 743-0499, is required.
