AUBURN – Elaine Brewer was named Insurance Woman of the Year by the National Association of Insurance Woman International Androscoggin Valley Chapter. The announcement was made by HRH Northern New England.

Brewer was recognized, in part, for her participation on the NAIW Androscoggin Valley Safety Committee, serving as public relations chairman and her involvement in creating a Web site for the state of Maine Insurance Women. As a member of the Safety Committee, she has been teaching the “Learn Not To Burn” fire safety program to children ages 3-6 in local day-cares and schools.

She joined HRH Northern New England in 2005, based in Auburn, she serves as a commercial account specialist. She received her award on May 10 as part of the annual All Industry Night for NAIW Androscoggin Valley Insurance Women.
