NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A man has been charged with scamming people around the world out of thousands of dollars with bogus online sales.
Police say Keith MacConnell, 34, of Nashua, is charged with theft, and they say his alleged operation cost people more than $75,000.
Police say MacConnell contacted would-be customers through e-Bay or other Internet operations to negotiate the sale of industrial equipment. But, they say he never sent the goods after receiving payment.
Police say the suspect’s Web site, Sonicrouters.com, generated complaints from around the world.
