PORTLAND – The Maine International Trade Center is offering a workshop on “U.S. Federal International Affairs Budget: Making A Difference in Maine.”
The Federal International Affairs Budget addresses issues such as building markets for U.S. exports, combating global HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases, fighting global terrorism, responding to human catastrophes, providing for academic and cultural exchanges, or ensuring that American diplomats have secure facilities and capable telecommunications. Damian Murphy, national field director for the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign, will report on the latest from Washington, D.C., and how the U.S. Federal International Affairs Budget impacts Maine.
The workshop is set from noon to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Maine International Trade Center office at 511 Congress St., Suite 100, Portland.
There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided.
