Suzanne Donnell Kannegieser
WINTHROP — Suzanne D. Kannegieser died in Winthrop on June 23.
She was born in San Diego, Calif., and raised in Winchester, Mass. Sue married John Kannegieser in 1960, and moved with family to Augusta, from Reading, Mass., in 1970. As a dedicated wife and mother, she lived in Auburn and Winthrop, from 1972 until the present. She attended Virginia Intermont College and graduated from Jackson College (Tufts University) with a bachelor of arts degree in special education.
After procuring an master’s degree from Boston University, she taught several years at the Perkins School for the Blind. In addition to her family, her study and practice of Christian Science was the most meaningful to her. A devoted lifelong bird and animal lover, she always had a bevy of cats, dogs and the occasional horse to attend to.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, John and her children, Marc, Jeanne, and Kristen.
