TOPSHAM – Wright-Pierce, a civil and environmental engineering firm, has recently added four new employees.

Gary L. Smith, P.G. is a project manager and senior hydrogeologist in the Topsham office. He expands the capabilities of Wright-Pierce’s Waterworks Group in the area of water supply groundwater development.

Smith has 28 years of experience in the field of applied and forensic hydrogeology and well construction development. He has been responsible for the development of a large number of high yield bedrock and sand gravel wells throughout New England and beyond.

Daniel J. Flaig Jr. was hired in the Topsham office as a water engineer. During college, he gained significant experience in the field of environmental engineering while working for the Auburn Water District, the State of Maine Drinking Water Program and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection.

Herbert F. Short has joined the Topsham office as senior electrical engineer. He has more than 32 years of diversified experience in the area of electrical engineering, including military, industrial, municipal, commercial and health care projects. Short’s experience has gained him professional registration in 13 states.

Carrie N. Plummer Lorfano is a marketing assistant in the Topsham office. Most recently she ran her own small coffee shop in Old Orchard Beach. She also worked for Diversified Business Communications as marketing coordinator for the commercial marine trade show division.
