FARMINGTON – Rebecca Gagnon-Pillsbury has successfully completed the lymphedema certification course provided by Klose Training and Consulting, LLC. The organization provides high-quality lymphedema therapy training throughout the United States and in Germany.
Lymphedema is an abnormal, debilitating swelling of a limb or body part due to insufficient drainage of the lymphatic system. The comprehensive course entailed 35 hours of home study and 105 hours of classroom instruction over 13 days. At the conclusion of the course, Gagnon-Pillsbury passed a rigorous written examination and an oral case study exam.
Gagnon-Pillsbury is a licensed physical therapist and certified athletic trainer who has worked in Franklin Memorial Hospital’s Physical Rehab and Sports Medicine Department for the past nine years.
