LEWISTON – Dr. Eugene J. Ferguson, an internal medicine specialist, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center Medical staff. He is practicing in association with Central Maine Internal Medicine at 12 High Suite, Suite 400.

Ferguson completed a residency in internal medicine at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. While serving his residency, he worked as medical instructor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ferguson graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pa., and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

As an undergraduate, he was the recipient of a Loyola Scholarship and a Howard Hughes Research Grant. While attending medical school he worked as a research assistant and was an active volunteer in many community health projects.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians. He is board certified in internal medicine and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

He lives in Minot with his wife, April Joyce.
