PORTLAND – The World Affairs Council of Maine announces that Gov. John Baldacci will discuss Maine’s international connections and plans for the future at the Governor’s International Community Breakfast.
It will be held Thursday, Dec. 16.
The governor will make remarks on the impact of his 2004 fall trade mission to Germany and Italy and the importance of establishing relationships with businesses and international dignitaries to promote trade beyond Maine’s borders.
He will also address international security and tourism issues.
Joining Baldacci will be Richard Coyle, president of the Maine International Trade Center, who will speak about The State of International Trade.
Networking begins at 6:45 a.m., breakfast at 7:10 a.m. and program from 7:40 to 9 a.m. at the Holiday Inn By the Bay, 88 Spring St. Cost is $10 for students; $20 for members/cooperating organizations and $25 general public.
