LEWISTON – Bangor Savings Bank expands into Lewiston-Auburn with the opening of its business office Tuesday in downtown Lewiston.
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. followed by an open house from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The bank is located at 198 Main St.
The business office will provide convenience for Bangor Savings customers in central Maine and will complement full-service branches in Lisbon and Monmouth.
“We listened to our existing customers who wanted to see us have more of a presence in the Lewiston-Auburn area, and to prospective customers and area representatives, who have indicated that our style of banking, backed by our love for and commitment to Maine’s businesses and people, is a great match for the needs of this vibrant community,” said Jim Dowe, president and CEO of Bangor Savings. “We couldn’t feel better about our decision to locate our newest business office in Lewiston.”
Bangor Savings Bank is also planning on opening a full-service branch in Auburn in 2005.
The business office will offer a range of financial services with an emphasis on small business and commercial needs, and will have a night depository drop and a 24-hour ATM. Serving clients from that office will be Anne Jarvis, Pauline Chouinard, and Tim Vrabel, mortgage and small business banking; Jean Claveau, commercial lending; Patsy Kortegast, payroll services; Erin Hurley and Jennifer Seekins, corporate and government services; and Gregg Piasio, investment and trust services.
Business hours will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, with access earlier and later in the day by appointment.
