LEWISTON – Brenda L. Pinard has been named an assistant vice president in the Merchant Services Department at Banknorth Group Inc. in Lewiston. She will continue to manage and oversee merchant operations.

A Livermore resident, Pinard joined Banknorth in 1994 and has 10 years in banking. She previously served in customer service and as a chargeback clerk and supervisor

A native of Lewiston, Pinard is a 1979 graduate of Lewiston High School.
