LEWISTON – Dr. Michael A. Leke recently joined the medical staff of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and has opened a surgical practice, Lebialem Vascular Associates P.A. at 99 Campus Ave.
Leke received his medical degree from the University Center for Health Science at the University of Yaounde, Cameroon. He completed his residency training in general surgery and a fellowship in trauma and critical care at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California.
Leke is board certified in general surgery and board eligible in vascular and trauma surgery.
“I am pleased to join the greater Lewiston-Auburn community. People have been very warm and welcoming. I look forward to caring for the surgical needs of the community,” noted Leke.
A native of Cameroon and a longtime resident of Southern California, Leke offers services in general vascular surgery, endovascular surgery, non-invasive vascular imaging and general surgery. His research interests include diabetic vasculopathy and intima hyperplasia.
Leke’s practice, Lebialem Vascular Associates, is named after a picturesque region of Cameroon. His office is currently located in Suite 401 at 99 Campus Ave., adjacent to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
