Branch planned by Auburn Savings

AUBURN – Auburn Savings & Loan Association announced plans to construct a branch at Orange and Sabattus Streets in Lewiston, directly across from St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

“Lewiston represents our second largest customer base. We appreciate the business Lewiston residents have done with Auburn Savings in the past and feel this new branch will serve their needs,” said President Allen Sterling.

Demolition of the existing structures at 45 and 47 Orange St. is now complete and construction is scheduled to begin on the new branch in 2004.

The new branch will be a Cape-style design to blend in with the surrounding neighborhood. Unlike most bank layouts, the interior of the branch will feature a unique customer service model with two sit-down windows to provide more personalized customer service, as well as two standard walk-up windows. The branch will also feature a drive-up teller window and ATM.

In addition to providing a full line of personal banking services, Auburn Savings & Loan offers flexible business checking, commercial lines of credit, commercial loans, and commercial real-estate mortgages.
